Ukraine Disabled 7 of 10 Largest Wildberries Warehouses
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry stated on Aug. 16 that it has disabled seven of the ten largest Wildberries logistics centers. Drone strikes in the Moscow region caused large fires at the Koledino and Severnoye Domodedovo facilities, halting operations.
Why it matters
Ukraine designates Wildberries as a legitimate military target for allegedly selling dual-use goods to the Russian military. Analysts estimate the company had already lost up to one-third of its warehouse capacity, approximately $5.7 billion in losses.
What's unclear
- The extent of damage at the two facilities mentioned is not specified.
- The total number of drones used in the strikes is not reported.
- The current operational status of the other five disabled warehouses is not detailed.
