Ukraine Disables 7 of 10 Largest Wildberries Warehouses
The Ukrainian Defense Ministry stated on Aug. 16 that it has disabled seven of the ten largest Wildberries logistics centers. Drone strikes in the Moscow region caused large fires at the Koledino and Severnoye Domodedovo facilities, forcing them to halt operations.
Why it matters
Ukraine designates Wildberries as a legitimate military target for allegedly selling dual-use goods to the Russian military. Analysts estimate the company had already lost up to one-third of its warehouse capacity, equating to approximately $5.7 billion in financial losses.
What's unclear
- The extent of damage at the Koledino and Severnoye Domodedovo facilities is not specified.
- The total number of warehouses operated by Wildberries is not provided.
- The timeline for resuming operations at the affected facilities is unknown.
