VIDEO: Watch how Iran destroyed US unmanned vessel in Hormuz
Mehr News published footage it says shows Iran striking and destroying a U.S. unmanned surface vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
Why it matters
The Strait of Hormuz is a key maritime chokepoint, and an attack on a U.S. vessel there would mark a notable escalation, though the claim rests on a single Iranian state-linked outlet.
What's unclear
- When the reported strike occurred
- Whether the U.S. has confirmed or commented on the incident
- What type of unmanned vessel was involved and how it was destroyed
